Miami, FL, 21 Dec 2022 -  Entando, an open source application composition platform that enables fusion teams to better collaborate with business owners by composing low code applications from pro code components, today announced that it was mentioned as a Sample Vendor in Gartner Emerging Tech Impact Radar: Data and Analytics (D&A) ^.

The report defines four themes product leaders should address in their D&A plans: the creation of a data fabric, composable D&A, the path to decision intelligence, and the next-generation and productive D&A.  In particular, we believe that composable D&A will leverage a standard platform for consistency for the interaction with data and insights. In our opinion, Entando, mentioned as a Sample Vendor, is aligned with this vision and provides a new development method to accelerate development and reconfiguration, save cloud costs, and streamline application lifecycle management.

In this report, Gartner defines Application Composition Platforms.

Gartner states that, “ACPs are key components of the composable enterprise, along with composable user experiences, packaged capabilities and a data fabric.”

The impact radar defines that medium impact within 3-6 years on which the report states, “The range is three to six years because, although all the elements of ACPs are available separately, bringing these elements together in a single platform is dependent on developing standards to support PBC-related capabilities”.Further, “Gartner defines a number of “precursor” technologies that are generally in place before ACPs: iBPMSs, enterprise low-code application platforms, enterprise iPaaS, full life cycle API management platforms, data fabrics and experience platforms (multi experience development and digital experience).”

Entando provides a common platform for enterprises to quickly compose and recompose applications from Packaged Business Capabilities built with microservices, micro frontends, and kubernetes APIs.  Entando v7.1 adds an additional capability for extending the low code platform with a new Entando Platform Capability (EPC) Framework.  This capability allows a low code developer to quickly add 3rd party headless services to the Entando App Builder where the collective capabilities of multiple headless services are combined within a single low code developer tool for application composers.

“Developing data and analytics projects as composable applications allows projects to be built or updated rapidly based on changing requirements.”   said Paul Hinz, Entando CEO, “This ability to compose and recompose quickly provides significant advantages to companies dealing with changing data, requirements, and threats.  As an application composition platform, Entando also provides a consistent way to build and manage the application complete lifecycle.”

Entando recommends enterprises look to implement a composable Data & Analytics architecture by implementing services as Packaged Business Capabilities and identifying best of breed services that they wish to assemble into a unified low code development platform using Entando.
